Newspapers are Back at Lithgow Library!

The Lithgow Mercury, Sydney Morning Herald, Blue Mountains Gazette and The Land newspapers are available again at Lithgow Library.

Reading the newspaper is something that many library patrons normally like to do but have been unable to since the library closed due to COVID in March 2020. A recent change to health guidelines has meant that this service can now resume.

Newspapers can be accessed during the library opening hours of 9:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday and 9:00am to 12:00pm on Saturdays. Patrons are asked to use the hand sanitiser before touching the papers as a precaution.

Programs to Resume at the Libraries

Lithgow Library Learning Centre is happy to announce the resumption of regular programming activities at the libraries commencing from Monday 15 February 2021.

Regular library programming was suspended due to COVID restrictions during 2020, but as restrictions ease programming is being reinstated. This commenced with children’s activities during January and will further continue with the reintroduction of small group activities such as knitting and craft groups.  Other activities will resume as COVID restrictions allow.

The Lithgow Library meeting room will also be available for small group hire. Groups hiring the meeting room will need to provide their own COVID Safe plan as well as following the library’s COVID Safe plan.

Adult participants in all groups and meetings are asked to bring and wear a mask, follow the library’s COVID Safe plan and not attend the library if feeling unwell.
