Lithgow Library will be hosting an author talk and book launch of the new book Walking by the popular Central West author Kim Kelly on Saturday 22 February at 11am.
Kim Kelly is an acclaimed author of Australian historical fiction that shines a light on forgotten corners of our past, and the lives of ordinary people making their way through extraordinary times. Kim’s first novel, Black Diamonds, was set in Lithgow, and there’s a beautiful whisper of this town once again in her new and ninth novel, Walking. Kim will be celebrating both books at the library this time, with Black Diamonds having recently gone on to become a bestselling audiobook internationally, and Walking taking its first steps into the world – right here in Lithgow where the spark of Kim’s writing career began. Come along and hear how this valley inspired her very first and latest works – and why this town will always be a place of love for Kim.
The author event will be held at Lithgow Library in Main Street Lithgow starting at 10.45am with morning tea, followed by the author talk and book signing at 11am. No bookings are required for this free event. For more information contact the library on 63529100.
