eBooks & eAudiobooks Coming to Lithgow Library!

Lithgow Library Learning Centre is excited to announce a new collection of eBooks and eAudiobooks will soon be available free to Lithgow Library members.

Join us on 17 July 2015 at 10.30am, for the official launch of the Axis 360 collection of eBooks and eAudiobooks. Staff will be at hand to offer information and advice. A light morning tea will be served at this free event.

The eBook and eAudiobooks collection is accessed through the Library website and from a convenient app. The collection can be downloaded to most computers, laptops, e-readers, tablets, and smart phones – anytime, anywhere. All you need is your library card number and PIN. Library staff will be happy to check your membership details, or join you up, to ensure that you are ‘eBook ready’. Membership is free.

“The inclusion of eBooks and eAudio books in the Library’s collection for the first time is a fantastic initiative that will benefit many people in the community,” said Lithgow City Council Mayor Maree Statham. “The 24/7 availability of the service means that you can download the collection anywhere and anytime, which will be great for those who find it difficult to get into the Library. No more overdue, lost or damaged books either. Once the loan period expires the eBook is automatically removed from the device and re-loaned to another borrower.”

Planning and providing quality community and recreational facilities and services for a healthy, vibrant and harmonious community is part of Council’s Caring for our Community Strategy in the Community Strategic Plan 2026.
