‘Conflict—Lithgow versus Eskbank’ (A History of Main Street)

The final event of the 2015 National Trust Heritage Festival will be a walk and talk entitled ‘Conflict – Lithgow versus Eskbank’. This is the second part of Mark Langdon’s history of Main Street. Participants will meet at the Lithgow Library Learning Centre at 10am and finish with a cup of tea back at the Library at about 12.00pm. (Wet weather plan – Library Meeting Room)

A regular participant in the Library’s Heritage Festival Events over the years, Mark Langdon is the author of the book ‘Conquering the Blue Mountains’ and his next book on the history of Newnes WW1 Recruits is at the publisher and soon to be released.

Mark has a Bachelor of Arts (Hon), a Bachelor of Technology (Surveying) and was a Fire fighter for 31 years
