Lithgow Library will be hosting a morning community event celebrating Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea as well as Library and Information Week on Thursday 25 May 2017 between 10.30am and 12.00pm.
“Lithgow Library Learning Centre is one of our community’s most valuable assets and has found its place as a true community hub,” said Lithgow City Council Mayor Stephen Lesslie.
“Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is just one of the diverse activities that you can now be a part of at your Library. I encourage the community to come along and learn more about the varied activities and resources available through their local library, and to help raise funds for a very worthy cause.”
Did you know that the library has regular group events such as knitting, ukulele, or colouring in? What about access to local history and history talks? Do you want to know more about online services, multicultural information or the library collection? Not able to physically access the library service due to health or mobility issues? Did you know we have a Home Library Service? The Library also provides after-hours homework help and programs and events for children and teens.
Come along on Thursday 25 May 2017 between 10.30am and 12.00pm where Library staff will present short information sessions on the services, programs and activities available for free from your Library, as they Celebrate Library and Information Week, while helping to help raise funds for the Cancer Council during Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea. A donation to the Cancer Council would be most appreciated.
