The library holds a number of regular program on a regular basis. Everyone is welcome to come along and join in and the programs are free.
Books and Bites Book Club
Lithgow Library’s new, bi-monthly book club is up and running! Library staff have been enjoying the first selected title “Thirty Thousand Bottles of Wine And a Pig Called Helga” and encourage library members to join in the fun. Titles will be available in traditional print as well as eBook and eAudio formats.
Open to all ages and abilities. Free of charge. Every Tuesday from 10.00am till 11.00am. Some ukuleles may be provided, or BYO ukulele if you have one. Tea and coffee provided. There is a beginner’s class for those who have not played before and anyone is welcome to come and sing a long if you don’t want to play.
Ukulele group at Portland library -last Saturday of every month at 10.30am. Bring your own Ukulele. There are a few available to borrow.
Knitting group is held every Thursday morning 10am-12pm in the Lithgow Library Main Street branch and is open to all even if you do not knit. Come along for the company.
Table Top Games
Suitable for young and old table top games are held every Friday afternoon in the Lithgow Library Main Street branch meeting room from 3.30pm-6pm. World War 2 battle games, Warhammer and Star Wars games are played. Open to all ages but children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.
Come and colour-in! Held Wednesday mornings from 10.30am-12pm in the Lithgow Library study room. Bring your own colouring projects or use ours.
Community Drumming at Wallerawang
Join the community drumming group, gathering at Wallerawang Library, Thursdays from 3.30pm. Some drums will be provided, or BYO.
Sewing Group at Wallerawang
Come along to the sewing/craft group at Wallerawang Library branch on Wednesday mornings from 10am-12pm.
