Lithgow Celebrates 2015 Seniors Week

Be Inspired is the theme of the 2015 Lithgow Seniors Week program which encourages seniors to celebrate in a festival of art, music, entertainment, technology, recreation, health and sport.

The Be Inspired theme is about encouraging greater effort, enthusiasm and creativity with a focus on activities that celebrate self-expression. A wide range of activities have been organised for Seniors Week including cultural walks, museum tours, yoga classes, tai chi sessions, photography workshops, art classes, Zumba dance parties, Facebook 101 classes and much more!

“The program for this year’s Seniors Week is full of exciting and new activities,” said Lithgow City Council Mayor Maree Statham. “I hope this festival inspires seniors to try new things, get out and engage with the community, express themselves and share their unique stories and experiences. The celebrations planned for Seniors Week provide something for everyone and I encourage our local seniors to be part of this wonderful week of events.”

Lithgow Seniors Week 2015 will be celebrated from Friday 13 March to Friday 20 March 2015. This is a perfect opportunity to get involved and try something new, expand your skills and knowledge and connect with others. Seniors Week encourages everyone to embrace active living through participation and creativity, and Council’s program provides many exciting and diverse opportunities to do just this.
