Ukuleles now at Wallerawang Library

Lithgow Library services has announced that in addition to the very popular ukulele groups which meet at the Lithgow and Portland Libraries, a new Ukulele group is now coming to Wallerawang Library on the second Saturday of the month.

Starting from the 8 September at 10.30am, interested ukulele players and other musicians are welcome to come along and join in the fun of making music and singing. Even if you can’t play the ukulele, singing in this fun group session is something anyone can do.  The library has a small number of ukuleles for people to borrow if they just want to give it a go.

“The ukulele group always look like they are having a great time and they have become very accomplished performers.  They also love the community spirit playing in a group instils and it is wonderful that they want to include Wallerawang Library so more people can participate,” said Acting Library Coordinator Sharon Lewis.

No bookings are required for this group and everyone is welcome to come along. For more information contact the Lithgow Library on 6352 9100 or Wallerawang Library on 6355 1101.
