Not unlike librarians, computer programmers face their own stereotypes – big glasses, nerdy clothes, loners; the list goes on and on! More and more, however, programming is becoming a cool must-have skill for our technology-driven future.
Now both boys and girls who are interested in science and engineering can come to the library to find out what is involved, satisfy their curiosity and explore the possibilities that lie in their future.
Robogals is a free volunteer program run by UNSW students. The Lithgow Library Learning Centre is hosting a session for boys and girls 10 years plus that will focus on learning to use Python programming.
Bookings are essential as spaces are limited. Children can bring their own devices to use during this session – please advise the library when booking.
