Free Tutoring @ Lithgow Library

Free tutoring, advice and assistance with any homework assignments is available at the Lithgow Library Homework Zone.

Staffed by a fully qualified teacher, Homework Zone operates each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3.30pm to 5.30pm during school term. The service is aimed at students in Years 3-12. Assistance is available across the curriculum, including general school skills such as essay writing and research guidance.

No bookings are required for these free sessions – just turn up with your homework. The Library is a great place to study, with free computer and free wifi access for members. We have quiet spaces for studying, and group tables for collaborative work.

“Free tutoring at the Homework Zone is an excellent way to support youth in their school efforts. The Homework Zone is a key element in the Library’s important role as a learning hub for the community,” said Lithgow City Council Mayor Maree Statham.

Providing a range of quality exhibitions and community programs that offer educational and social opportunities for all members of the community is part of Council’s Caring for the Community Strategy in the Community Strategic Plan 2026.
