Popular Technology Dinosaur Computer and Mobile Device Classes Are Back @ the Library!

If your three year old grandchild makes you feel like a Technology Dinosaur then the Lithgow Library Learning Centre might have the solution for you.

Three technology students from Lithgow High School will be available to lend their native ‘expertise’ to those of us who cringe at the thought of even touching a computer, never mind renewing our passport online, accessing MyGov, or online shopping and banking.

For one week, from Monday 12 to Friday October 16, during the hours of 9.00am to 5.00pm, Lithgow Library will be holding one-on-one technology sessions, of up to 50 minutes duration each. These sessions can be tailored to suit your needs, whether you want help with your phone or your tablet, or just want some basic computer training so that you don’t feel quite so much at sea.

Tech-savvy high school digital students will be available to instruct, explain and guide the way to technology clarity. Bookings are preferred for these very popular classes but there will also be the option to just drop in for a quick question. Please ring the Library on 6352 9100 for more information or to make a booking.

“With technology changing so rapidly, this is a great initiative that assists the community to keep up-to-date with advances in information and communication technologies.  It is also wonderful that the Library is partnering with Lithgow High School by providing very worthwhile work experience options for young people,” said Lithgow City Council Mayor Maree Statham

Providing a range of quality exhibitions and community programs that offer educational and social opportunities for all members of the community is part of Council’s Caring for the Community Strategy in the Community Strategic Plan 2026.
