Lithgow Library is thrilled to be hosting author Dorothy West. Dorothy will be visiting the library on Saturday 7th September from 10am till 11.30am to talk about her book “A Step Towards Freedom.”
Dorothy’s book, “A Step Towards Freedom” is a fictional story based on how child sexual abuse and trauma can affect someone for an entire lifetime. A story of courage, learning that everyone has flaws and that self-healing can only happen if you move forward.
Dorothy felt compelled to write her book and in doing so hoped to give people a voice, especially those that have been silenced and that are unable to speak for themselves.
Guests will hear about how Dorothy researched the book, her quest to help others, her writing experience and how she came to be published. If this is a topic that is of interest to you why not call into the library and hear Dorothy talk.
Light refreshments will be served and Dorothy’s book will be available for purchase. This is a free event and no bookings are required.
