Are you a young local in the area aged between 10-17 years old?
The Lithgow Library is excited to announce a new youth program that will beginning at the Library this Friday the 24th of May. Partnered with Mountains Outreach Community Service (MOCS) We are excited to introduce our fortnightly youth program, “Lithgow Library Craft Club”
We are trialing this program for the duration of term two and hope to see it succeed so we can keep going in term 3.
The Library Craft club is a great way for youth to socialise, explore their hobbies and interests, have a safe space, and to introduce them to the Library.
On Friday the 21st of June and Friday the 5th of July, we will be using air dry clay!
Making small sculptures of whatever you like that can be then made into a brooch, magnet or maybe you just want it as a small sculpture.
It is completely up to you, we want you to make whatever you like.
All of these activities can be tailored to different ages and skillsets as everyone will interpret the activities in their own way.
We can’t wait to start this and offer something to our local youth community in the Lithgow Library,
These sessions will be held in our new refurnished “study area”
If you are new to the Library, you are still more then welcome to attend.
Joining the Library is FREE but it is not mandatory to join to come along to these sessions.
We hope to see you all there,
And we thank MOCS for their partnership for us to make this possible.
