With holiday time fast approaching, Lithgow City Council Library service encourages everyone to not leave it to the last minute to sort their holiday reading entertainment.

What is the simplest way to take a library on holidays with you? Electronically of course! Lithgow Library can help you get your iPad, tablet, or phone ready to hold your library and have holiday entertainment ready to go.

eBooks are a great space saving invention that give you all the benefits of a bookcase, but in an easily transportable device. Did you know that there are more options than just eBooks? Lithgow City Council Library service provides members with free access to eBooks, eAudio (talking books), eMagazines, a movie/documentary streaming service, electronic car manuals and variety of reference databases.

To access all these great resources all you need is a library card and access to the library website at library.lithgow.com or by phoning 6352 9100.  Membership is free and only takes a few minutes. You can start using all the great physical and electronic resources straight away, so join today.

Contact Lithgow Library if you need help in accessing the electronic resources or call in with your device and someone will be happy to help you get set up.

If you prefer physical books, magazines, DVDs, and music, then the Library has plenty of options available and items aren’t due until mid to late January if you borrow now. With the cost of living skyrocketing the library is one of the only places where things are FREE.

Lithgow Library and Branch Libraries will close at 4.00pm on Friday 23 December 2022 for the Christmas break. Lithgow Library will re-open at 9.00am on Monday 9 January and Portland and Wallerawang branch Libraries at 10.00am Tuesday 10 January.
