Lithgow City Council Library is excited to announce a special grandparents themed Storytime on Wednesday the 25 October in celebration of Grandparent’s Day.

NSW Grandparents Day celebrates the diversity of grandparent relationships across age groups, cultural backgrounds, and geographical locations. Grandparents, grand-friends, kin, and those who take on the role of a grandparent in their family or community are recognised for their contributions.

Lithgow Library wants to celebrate and show appreciation to all the grandparents in the community by inviting them to be a part of a special Storytime. The Storytime will commence at 10.30am and will have grandparent themed stories, a special craft for the children to do with their grandparents that they can then gift to their grandparents, followed by a catered morning tea supplied by the Library.

The Library would also like to thank and acknowledge the grandparents who already bring their grandchildren to the library, we appreciate all that you do! The Library would also like to thank the Department of Communities and Justice for providing the funding to host the Grandparent’s Day event.
