Local and library mural artist Elaine Butler will be conducting 3 art workshops for both beginners and those who already create art. Designed to allow people the freedom to sit, create and network, Elaine will provide guidance and tuition where needed. You don’t need to know how to draw or paint to be part of the workshops, just willing to have a go and Elaine will guide you through the process.

Workshop 1 – “A cup of Creativity – Art with Tea” will run between 10am and 11.30am on Thursday 2 February at Lithgow Library. Create a mosaic artwork using tea and tea bags while enjoying a cuppa and a chat.

Workshop 2 – “See no, hear no, speak no owls” will run at Wallerawang Library on Friday 3 February, 10.30am to 12pm. Create a set of three small owls from air dry clay and dry brush technique.

Workshop 3 – “Drawing furry critters” 9.30am to 11am, Saturday 4 February at Lithgow Library. A workshop for students who like detail, working with graphite pencils, smudging tools and erasers. Bookings are essential for these activities and all materials are provided.
