Lithgow City Council Libraries are very happy to announce that Storytime will be commencing at Portland Branch Library on Tuesday 20 February 2024!

Lithgow and Wallerawang Library currently offer Children’s Storytime weekly to help promote early literacy to children and their families. The library is excited that they can finally bring this service to the Portland branch.

Storytime consists of books, songs and a craft. Children of all ages and their families are welcome to attend. Storytime is themed each week and reflects the community, significant days and dates, and fun subjects.

Children’s Librarian Gemma joined the library team in 2023 and is very keen to add Portland Library Storytime to the list of activities and events held across the library service. Gemma is working to ensure the program offers something for everyone and hopes that Portland families will bring their children along.

Storytime will commence at Portland Library at 67 Williwa Street, Portland on Tuesday 20 February at 10.30am and will be held weekly through school terms only. The first theme for the year will be in celebration of “kindness and friendship”.

The library looks forward to meeting everyone at the fabulous Portland Library and having a successful 2024. This event is FREE and NO bookings are required.
